A Jane Austen Regency Ball

Wirral Arts Festival presents a unique opportunity to dance to the music of the renowned Pemberley Players with their dancing master Mr R. Battle. Tickets are £20 per person and include a light buffet. Dancing starts 7:30 pm prompt. Costume optional.
The Pemberley Players are a group of musicians, with a vast experience of playing music published in the 18th and 19th Centuries. They played all the Dance Music in the 2007 ITV adaptation of Jane Austen’s ‘Northanger Abbey’ and regularly play at Regency Balls in the UK and Europe.

Evolvr in concert + support

Heswall Hall and The Big Room, in association with the Wirral Arts Festival, are proud to present this unique performance. Wirral’s 1st cinematically-driven live band of epic proportions. Not an everyday rock band! Think Bond suave, expect a pinch of Hollywood strings and baritone spaghetti western guitars. Songs and musical pieces intelligently crafted. Five “local heroes” on home turf, within a backdrop of indie film and imagery.
Cinematography is provided by award-winning local filmmaker Dan Sloan.

The Burying Party: Live Q&A and screening of the new Wilfred Owen film

Wilfred Owen returns to the Somme against the advice of his mentor Siegfried Sassoon, determined to follow his subject ‘The Pity of War’ to the very end.
Winner of 13 awards, The Burying Party tells the story of Wilfred Owen on the 100 year anniversary week of his passing.
The evening will feature a live questions and answers session with the cast and crew which will include Richard Weston (Director) and Matthew Staite (Wilfred Owen).

There will be a 30 minute interval after the main feature.
