Linghams bookshop is the venue for an appearance by award-winning local children’s author Rob Keeley who will be launching The Coming of the Spirits, the final novel in his Spirits series for children and young adults! The event takes place from 1-2pm.

Festive Hobby and Craft Fair, 11am–2pm, at Heswall Hall.Time to start Christmas shopping at the wonderful stalls full of gifts, jewellery, crafts and art. All in aid Wirral Hospice St. John’s. Bacon and sausage sandwiches, hot drinks and cake! Admission £1 adults, under 16s free (pay on door).

Heswall Gardening Society: Social Evening 7:30pm, at Heswall Hall

 

Wednesday 5th December

The four-piece Christian band Missionbandforu will be performing an alternative carol
service at The Beacon One World coffee bar, at Telegraph Road, Heswall at 8pm. It will be the usual mix of secular and Christian music, good conversation, coffee, tea and of course mince pies.

 

Saturday 8th December

Heswall Animal Welfare Coffee Morning at Heswall Hall, 10am to 11.30am. Admission £1.

Sunday 9th December

Christmas Maker Bee Artisan Market, 12noon–5pm at Heswall Hall. An opportunity to browse a great selection of the North West’s best artisans, with indoor stalls, hot food and drink, and a Christmas Grotto for the children.  There will also be workshops for adults and children e.g. wreath making.  Proceeds from the Grotto and the artisan raffle will go to Claire House Children’s Hospice. Wirral Philatelic Society meets at 7:30pm, at Heswall Hall. Christmas Party and Talk.

 

Wednesday 12th December

Heswall Hall Tea Dance: Come along and enjoy live music from the resident trio, The Swingmasters. If you’re not a dancer, come along and listen to the music, enjoy a cup of tea and a chat with new friends. 2:00-4:30pm. Admission £4 on the door.

The Heswall Society will be presenting Carols Around the Tree, led by Revd Martin Cannam and accompanied by the Port Sunlight Lyceum Band. Starting at 7.15pm outside the gates of St Peter’s Church, Lower Heswall. All welcome.

Heswall Hall Evening Cinema: The Happy Prince (15), 7:30pm. This award-winning film stars Rupert Everett and Colin Firth in a biopic of Oscar Wilde’s last days.
