Loungers, the Bristol based restaurant/café/bar group has opened its fourth Lounge venue in the North West. The award-winning business has opened Otto Lounge on Telegraph Road, Heswall with the help of some very special young guests.
Children from Marigold Day Nursery joined Loungers Executive Chef Theo Guy in a cookie baking demonstration to mark the opening of Otto Lounge, emphasising its family-friendly credentials. The children also took part in a colouring competition which was judged by Theo Guy.
The winner was Bethany Poval, aged 3 who won a birthday party for herself and five friends at Otto Lounge – pictured with her class mates from Marigold Day Nursery and Theo Guy Loungers, the West Country based restaurant/café/bar group is gearing up to open its fourth venue in the North West next week. The award-winning business opened Otto Lounge in Heswall on the 16th October creating 25 jobs for local people.
Loungers has invested £425k in transforming the old Kwik Save store on Heswall’s Telegraph Road into a cosy, retro home from home, where dramatic art work sits next to oversized vintage sofas and statement light fittings, in the eclectic style much loved by Lounge aficionados.
Within the last 12 months the group has invested over £2m opening sites in the region creating 150 jobs – Brasco Lounge, Mann Island, Marino Lounge, Wallasey and Milo Lounge, Lark Lane – with plans to open a fifth in November – Haro Lounge in Formby.

There’s already a thriving and vibrant community here and we’re really looking forward to playing our part. Heswall residents will be served by the very best – our new team is passionate about hospitality. Our excellent pre-opening and ‘on the job’ training programme ensures our staff will be at the top of their game. Training includes expert guidance from one of Europe’s most acclaimed baristas.”
